Combination of various materials created this highly noticeable wheel stool – a small settee chair which will get all the attention in the interior with its shine and rough gloss.
The seat is softly anatomically shaped piece of reclaimed birchwood won from the demolition site of the old bus station (wide hand railing). Dark brown stained, hard wax oil protected. Thin bike chain links are burned randomly into the wood surface and nailed with small nails into the wood. Precise work, an authentic decorative technique from the author.
The bottom part is the old 4 wheel seat construction with fully functional steel spring suspension for added bit of comfort with height adjustment. The old color was removed and the steel was then hand brushed with angle grinder and its final surface is a transparent lacquer for the final shine.Aluminum plate with embossed JV branding at one of the legs.
