An old wooden frame found at garage sale and was eager for a new life – new decoration – new fresh contrasting approach. The frame was first deep sanded of its original rustic but unusable surface. Clean wooden structure was revealed and then dark stained and oiled. The final touch was done by my signature decorative technique using bike chain elements individually and densely nailed into the wooden frame.

The structure of chain elements created a new industrial and contemporary skin over the historical wooden core. Assembled chain pieces were in final polished for a shine and gloss. Using this technique a highly decorative yet luxury and in a way a diesel/industrial surface came into being. The mirror can be hung both – vertically or horizontally – in rustic/vintage or contemporary and clean interiors.
